Did you know that some roofs are built to last a lifetime and beyond?
Recently, we conducted a roof inspection on a gracious 1928 home in the Dominican neighborhood of San Rafael, and what we found was truly remarkable.
This Spanish Mediterranean-style house proudly displays the original clay tile roof the home builders installed 96 years ago!
Our inspector found the roof to be in good condition due to the meticulous maintenance by the previous owners over several decades. His recommendation was to fix any broken tiles and thoroughly clean the roof to extend its lifespan for many more years.
With a typical life expectancy of over eighty years, this roof is a testament to durability and sustainability of clay tile roofs and the importance of roof maintenance.
